This morning, a Granger Middle School student was struck by a vehicle while crossing the intersection of Bailey Avenue and E Street on the way to school. The student is in stable condition and was transported to receive medical care. We are grateful to the first responders and others who assisted at the scene this morning.

Following this incident, Granger School District will continue its focus and staff presence around school crosswalks and intersections during student arrival times.

We are also asking all parents, students, staff, and community members to take extra care when traveling near our schools:
• Slow down and follow posted school-zone speed limits.
• Watch carefully for students entering crosswalks and intersections.
• Be especially cautious during the morning hours, when sun glare and lighting conditions can make pedestrians more difficult to see.
• Avoid distractions and allow yourself additional time when traveling through school areas.

Hundreds of students walk, bike, and are dropped off at our schools each morning. A few extra seconds of caution and attention can make an enormous difference.

Esta mañana, un estudiante de Granger Middle School fue atropellado por un vehículo mientras cruzaba la intersección de Bailey Avenue y E Street cuando se dirigía a la escuela. El estudiante se encuentra en condición estable y fue trasladado para recibir atención médica. Estamos muy agradecidos con los socorristas y todas las personas que brindaron apoyo esta mañana.

A raíz de este incidente, el Distrito Escolar de Granger continuará reforzando su atención y la presencia del personal en los cruces peatonales e intersecciones cercanas a nuestras escuelas durante la llegada de los estudiantes.

También pedimos a todos los padres de familia, estudiantes, miembros del personal y de la comunidad que tengan especial cuidado al transitar cerca de nuestras escuelas:
• Reduzcan la velocidad y respeten los límites de velocidad establecidos en las zonas escolares.
• Estén atentos a los estudiantes que cruzan por los cruces peatonales y las intersecciones.
• Tengan especial precaución durante las horas de la mañana, cuando el resplandor del sol y las condiciones de luz pueden dificultar la visibilidad de los peatones.
• Eviten distracciones y tomen unos minutos adicionales al conducir por las zonas escolares.

Cada mañana, cientos de estudiantes caminan, van en bicicleta o son transportados en vehículo a nuestras escuelas. Unos cuantos segundos adicionales de precaución y atención pueden hacer una gran diferencia.

Granger School District 2025 All-Staff Kickoff

Yesterday, we brought together our entire Granger School District team for the 2025 All-Staff Kickoff.

Over the past week, our staff has been preparing, training, and collaborating. The energy and excitement in the room reflected our shared mission: supporting every student.

With passion, teamwork, and dedication, we are ready to welcome our Granger Raptors and Spartans back on Monday, August 25th.

We are committed to making 2025-26 our best year yet...together, as one team for our students.
