This November, The Granger School District proudly celebrates Native American Heritage Month, honoring the rich history, culture, and contributions of Native American communities.
Our district had the privilege of hosting a special assembly featuring talented drummers and traditional dancers from our Johnson-O’Malley (JOM) program. Students and staff were treated to an inspiring performance that showcased the beauty and significance of Native American music and dance. The rhythmic beats of the drums and the colorful, energetic movements of the dancers captivated the audience, offering a deeper understanding of Native American traditions.
We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Granger Native American community for their invaluable involvement in making this event possible. Their participation in the assembly enriched our experience and allowed us to connect more deeply with Native American heritage.
We are grateful to the JOM program and the performers for sharing their culture with us and helping to foster a greater appreciation for Native American heritage. This assembly was a meaningful reminder of the importance of cultural preservation and the strength of Native American communities.
As we continue to celebrate throughout the month, we encourage everyone to reflect on the history and contributions of Native Americans and engage in activities that highlight their enduring legacy.
