Volunteer & Chaperone Information

Thank you for your interest in our volunteer process, there have been some recent changes.  Our volunteer application has expanded to include guidelines and expectations and is now titled “Granger School District Volunteer Handbook”.  Please be sure to use this packet from now on.

As volunteer packets from the different school buildings are received, and those volunteers applications have been accepted they will be added to a district wide list.  Please check with the school building secretaries that you applied to volunteer at to check on the status of your application.

A few things to note:

  • PLEASE use the most current Volunteer Handbook packet.  English and Spanish forms are attached.

  • As in the past, applications need to be submitted for Washington State Patrol (WSP) clearance at least 2 school days before an event in order to process these in time
  • Each applicant that submits a copy of application provides a copy of the applicant’s ID. A WSP background check will be ran based on the applicant's application and ID submitted.  (We do not run fingerprints for volunteer applicants.)  This is to verify if their criminal history is clear per WSP.

  • If an applicant is cleared, they are cleared for the district for the entire school year, not just for one building.  The application needs to be renewed each year.
